Mama's self-care Practices
Mothers are the chamber and doorway for little miracles to be born into this wonderful world. From the birth of our children, we learn very quickly how much they depend on us for their survival and ability to thrive. We can get so wrapped up in taking care of others, that we sometimes forget about ourselves. I have seen in my own life what happens to my mind and body when I forget to make time for self-care and well-being. I feel so inspired to share my experiences and services with other Mothers from our community in Ottawa and all around the world. Energy healing, the modern mindfulness method and movement are some of the tools that truly have helped me to establish a self-care practice that nourishes and heals my body, relaxes my mind and offers so much tenderness to the emotional body. A new mother’s body goes through so many changes and something to keep in mind is that our children are a blessing to us as they remind us so deeply to live in the present moment. Theirs precious presence helps us to experience more of the now moment, which is so beautiful. One aspect to this that I found most miraculous is that because we begin to accumulate more present moment, naturally while watching our children move through different developmental stages, we too heal our bodies and mind. You could think of it as watching and experiencing our children in the present day, simultaneously heals our past childhood memories that have been stored in our cells. Sounds awesome, right? Yes but it can come with a whole lot of unprocessed emotions and feelings, and if you are unaware that this process is occurring, it can be perceived as “something is wrong with me” or a whole lot of confusion. The services I offer help with this process so that it may feel more graceful and supportive.
